Lopari Bike Weekend 2026

Lošinj, Croatia  ·  18–20 September 2026.

Lopari Bike Weekend 2026 is a weekend of active holidays and adventure on the island of Lošinj, with two MTB/eMTB climb races up Osoršćica. The main event is the races on Saturday, 19 September: a shorter 8 km route to the Sv. Gaudent mountain hut and a longer 11 km route to the Televrin summit, the highest point of Lošinj. The start and gathering point is Lopari Camping Resort. eMTB bikes are welcome.

Entry fee

On-site registration is not possible. No refunds in case of non-participation; transfer of the entry fee to another person is possible for a surcharge.

The entry fee includes race organisation, electronic timing and online results, the starter pack, participant insurance, refreshments on the course and at the finish, medical assistance and HGSS (mountain rescue) standby, luggage transport start–finish, a finisher medal, awards for winners and by category, race photos, the pasta party, the after race party, and special offers from partners and sponsors.

Starter pack

Lopari Camping Resort beach bag, cap, badge, magnet and thermo bottle, a timing chip with fasteners, a bib-number sticker for belongings („bag tag"), an energy bar/gel, a drink, and promotional products from partners and sponsors. Pack collection starts on Friday 18 Sept from 12:00 at Lopari Camping Resort, in person with an ID card.

Awards

Awards are given separately for the Lopari – Sv. Gaudent and Lopari – Televrin races: trophies and prizes for the overall winners (M/F), medals and prizes for 2nd and 3rd overall (M/F), and medals for 1st–3rd place by category (M/F).

Categories

MTB — Men: overall, 15–34, 35–44, 45–54, 55+.   Women: overall, 15–44, 45+.

eMTB — Men: overall.   Women: overall.

Age categories are determined by year, not date of birth. Overall winners are also included in the age-category rankings.

Accommodation — Lopari Camping Resort

The resort at the foot of Osoršćica, between Osor and Nerezine, offers seaside pitches, mobile homes, apartments and facilities for families and pets. Timing and results

Timing is automatic, using a chip system. Results are published online after the race at losinia.hr. Complaints are submitted to the organiser no later than 15 minutes after the provisional results are published; the organiser's decision is final.

Bike service

On Friday afternoon and Saturday before the race a professional bike mechanic is available at the resort. The service and parts are paid for according to the service price list and are not included in the entry fee.

Bike rental

Lopari Camping Resort offers a selection of MTB and eMTB bikes for rent at the resort reception.

Emergency medical assistance

The organiser provides a medical service and rescue-service standby. In case of injury, the participant must follow the instructions of the medical service, HGSS, marshals and the organiser.

Cloakroom / bag drop-off

Participants may leave their belongings (in the participant's numbered bag) in the drop-off vehicle at the start and collect them upon arrival at the finish.

Sweeper vehicle and withdrawal

A participant who cannot finish the route waits for the last race vehicle (the „sweeper") and is transported with the bike to the nearest finish (Sv. Gaudent or Televrin). Withdrawal must be reported to the nearest volunteer, control point or organiser.

Time limit / cut-off

Control points are at the start, refreshment stations and finishes. The time limit is a 40-minute gap behind the leading competitor.

• Gap up to 40 min: continue the race, eligible for ranking and a finisher medal, with vehicle escort.
• Gap over 40 min: mandatory redirection to the Sv. Gaudent finish (shorter section), ranked behind all finishers, eligible for the shorter-section finisher medal.
• Anyone who ignores this and continues toward Televrin: no official result or medal, marked OTL (Out of Time Limit).

The maximum time to finish the race is 4 hours; after that, participants continue at their own responsibility and are no longer ranked.

eMTB

eMTB bikes are welcome, permitted only if homologated to the EU standard EN15194 with assistance up to 25 km/h. eMTBs with a removed/modified speed limiter, tuning devices or any motor modification are prohibited. The organiser reserves the right to technically inspect the bike before, during and after the race; detected irregularities lead to disqualification.

Spectators and participant support

Spectators and support may not drive vehicles onto Osoršćica before, during or after the race. The best way to follow is the Osoršćica guided tour / guided hike, which starts on race day before the start, from Lopari Camping Resort.

Environmental responsibility and nature protection

The race takes place in the valuable natural environment of Lošinj and Osoršćica, so protecting the environment and responsible behaviour are an important part of the organisation. Participants must respect nature, stay strictly on the marked route and leave no waste on the course. Packaging (gels, bars, bottles, cups) must be disposed of only in the designated zones: at the start, refreshment stations, control points and finish. Deliberately discarding waste outside the zones, leaving the route or damaging nature may result in disqualification. By taking part, every competitor becomes an ambassador of responsible behaviour in nature.

General regulations

• A participant competes in only one race (Sv. Gaudent or Televrin); competing in both is not possible. Results are not combined.
• All healthy participants may compete, at their own responsibility. The race is held regardless of weather conditions.
• From the start to the beginning of the climb, riding is behind the lead vehicle without overtaking („neutralized start"); timing begins on reaching the gravel. Overtaking the lead vehicle leads to disqualification.
• The organiser reserves the right to change the conditions, route, shorten or cancel the race due to force majeure, weather conditions or decisions of the competent services.

Rules

• Open to adults and those who are 15 years old on race day, with parental/guardian consent.
• A roadworthy MTB/eMTB with a bib number on the handlebars, a spare tube, mini pump, tools, a bottle and a charged phone are mandatory. A helmet is mandatory.
• The road is closed to all traffic during the race; only cyclists between the lead vehicle and the rear vehicle are insured.
• It is forbidden to obstruct other participants, to shorten or leave the route, or to receive help from non-accredited persons — under threat of disqualification.
• All waste must be disposed of only in the designated zones (start, finish, refreshments, feed zones).
• Race briefing: 18 Sept 2026 at 20:00 at Lopari Camping Resort — attendance is mandatory.
• After the race the road reopens to traffic; the return from the finish is on your own and is not part of the competition. On the descent, caution, controlled speed and keeping to the right are mandatory.
